We are really excited about being able to share our love of horses and the surrounding area with visitors appreciative of the many wonders that abound in the forest.

      E J Trails has a State and National Forest Outfitter License allowing them to take groups into the national forest and wilderness areas of Cheat Mtn. & Cranberry Glades for hunting/camping/fishing trips for the more adventurous. Custom designed guided and semi-guided trips available.

      Now taking reservations for overnight camping from Spruce to Bald Knob on horseback. All you need is your sleeping bag and a camera.

      Starting May 2004

• Ride the Cass scenic train to Whittaker station horse back from Whittake to Bald Knob. Ride the train back off.
• Ride the train to Bald Knob horse back to Whittaker and be shuttled back to Cass.

Whittaker to Bald Knob will run on Tue. Thu. Sat.
Bald knob to Whittaker on Wed. Fri. Sun.

About a 3 hr. ride
$80.00 per/person max 6 rider per trip.

• Spruce to Bald Knob Overnight execursions are $169/person/day
• Turkey hunts are $179/person/day with a minumum of a 3 day hunt.

      Hunters will need a valid hunters license and their own gun.

Greenbrier River, the west fork of Greenbrier
and the Cranberry Glades (half day & all day)
Wagon train rides per hour, day, week, & overnight.
Equipped for handicapped & senior citizens

      Wagon rides are

• $40 for each additional hour
• $150.00/half-day, up to 8 people.

Hunting and Fishing Opportunities

Archery Hunts       Our hunts take place in the Monongahela National Forest which consist of approximately 1 million acres. We also have some private land leases to combine with The National Forest property.
      Hunting season runs from The middle of October thru Dec. 31. We offer a variety of hunting options from drop camps to fully guided hunts. We set you up in the best deer territory we know of. Multiple deer tags available.

1. Drop Camps (3) Days
      We provide complete camp with outfitters tent, heat stove, all cooking gear, lanterns, cots, etc. We provide plenty of food and beverage for the length of your stay.
      We pack you and your gear into remote areas by horseback and wagon or by wilderness train. We will provide a few bait sites along with treestands and show you where these are along with an orientation of the area you are to hunt.
      We will check on you periodically and will pack out your game as needed.

2. Fully guided hunts (3 full days)
      Guided hunts are provided from remote wilderness camps, complete with outfitters tent, cook shelter, all camping equipment and sheepherders stove.
      Or if a client prefers, stay in a fully furnished cabin, complete with kitchen and bath. All food is provided for the length of your hunt.

• Stand sites are provided with several bait sites set well in advance.
